Energy Regulator Opens Independent Investigation Into National Grid Operator

The Office of Gas and Electricity Markets has launched an independent inquiry into the National Energy System Operator following allegations of improper influence and inadequate record-keeping during a period of extreme heat and heavy pressure on the electricity grid in late June.
