Both of Putin's adult daughters were placed under EU and US sanctions in April 2022, and Dutch prosecutors have declined to comment on whether the seizure is related to the sanctions or whether the businessman, Jorrit Faassen, who lives in Russia, is being investigated in the Netherlands.
