Dubai Airports is planning to replace Dubai International Airport with a new and even larger facility by the 2030s, according to CEO Paul Griffiths.
The existing Dubai International Airport has a capacity of around 120 million passengers, and once that capacity is reached, a new airport will be needed.
The new project is expected to extend into the middle of the century, and it will likely be located at Al Maktoum International, which will be expanded on a larger scale.
Griffiths mentioned that the new airport would feature an industry-changing design that eliminates traditional terminals and legacy processes.
