Double Tragedy on London Underground's Northern Line as Two Passengers are Dragged and Injured

Two separate "trap and drag" accidents occurred on the Northern Line of the London Underground within a month of each other at Archway and Chalk Farm stations.

In both incidents, a passenger's coat became trapped in the doors of a Tube train as it pulled away from the platform, leading to the passenger being dragged along the platform and injured.

One passenger sustained a serious injury, and the other sustained minor injuries.

An investigation has been launched by the government to determine the cause of the accidents and make recommendations for improving safety.
