Heartwarming rescue story involving a cat and a dog. Mowgli, the cat, had fallen 100ft down a mineshaft in Cornwall, and after six days of searching for her missing pet, the owner, Michele Rose, had almost given up hope of finding Mowgli.
However, it was Daisy, Michele Rose's quick-thinking dog, who played a crucial role in the rescue. Daisy started acting unusually, running in and out of the woods near their home in Harrowbarrow. Daisy guided Michele Rose along a footpath that led to the Prince of Wales old mine workings and then stopped near the mineshaft.
Thanks to Daisy's persistence and actions, Mowgli was eventually found and rescued. The RSPCA and Cornwall Fire and Rescue were called to the scene, and after spotting Mowgli 100ft down the mineshaft, they were able to safely pull her to safety.
Michele Rose expressed her gratitude to Daisy, calling her a superstar and an amazing dog. She believes that without Daisy's intervention, Mowgli might still have been trapped down the mineshaft.
