David Chadwick, 32, has been elected as the new Liberal Democrat MP for Brecon, Radnor, and Cwm Tawe.

Chadwick's journey to Parliament is remarkable, having survived a near-fatal car crash and a rare paralysing disorder called Guillain-Barré Syndrome.

After a full recovery, he deeply values the NHS and is committed to improving life for people with disabilities.

Chadwick was previously accepted into the Army Intelligence Corps, studied international studies in the Netherlands, and spent time in Argentina, where a vaccination triggered his paralysis.

He was nursed back to health by his family in the UK.

Chadwick emphasizes the importance of a functioning healthcare system and plans to focus on rural issues such as depopulation, job creation, and agriculture funding.

He won his seat with 13,736 votes, unseating Conservative Fay Jones by a majority of just under 1,500 votes.
