Charlie Gibbs and Hannah Debellotte, residents of a supported housing block in East London, share their experiences of overcoming adversities.

After the death of her parents, Charlie received grief counseling and life skills support, preventing potential homelessness.

Hannah, who fled a difficult home situation, gained financial management and cooking skills.

Look Ahead, their housing provider, is experiencing closures due to funding cuts, a problem echoed across the sector.

The National Housing Federation reports that nearly a third of providers had to shut services in the past year, with more than half citing financial issues.

The NHF calls for reinstating ring-fenced funding for these essential services.
