Crick Institute Seeks Additional Funding to Attract International Scientists

The Francis Crick Institute in London is seeking increased funding to attract top international scientists, particularly those affected by recent academic restrictions in the United States.

The institute aims to recruit early-career researchers to lead new research teams, each requiring over £500,000 annually.

However, financial challenges and a two-year recruitment freeze have hindered these efforts.

The Crick is negotiating with major funders to secure the necessary resources to enhance the UK's position in global scientific research.
