Cornwall beachgoers airlifted to safety as tide sweeps in

Two individuals were rescued by helicopter after becoming stranded by a quick-rising tide on Tregonhawke beach in Cornwall.

The RNLI reported no safe path to climb the cliffs, and with rough surf impeding rescue by boat, a coastguard helicopter extracted the pair and delivered them to rescue teams atop the cliff.
