Community Protests Police Hiring Linked to Woman’s Death in New Britain

Demonstrators condemn the Middletown Police Department’s decision to employ the officer involved.

Protesters gathered outside Middletown City Hall to oppose the hiring of a police officer previously involved in a fatal crash that killed a New Britain woman.

Demonstrators say the move undermines public trust and accountability in law enforcement.

City officials have defended the decision, citing the completion of internal investigations, but calls for greater transparency continue to grow.
