Climate Activist Greta Thunberg Faces Charges for Protest Against Fossil Fuels

Climate activist Greta Thunberg has been charged with disobeying the police during a protest in Sweden in June.

She and three other protestors are set to appear in court on July 24th.

Thunberg and the others had blocked oil tankers at a port in Malmö to protest against the use of fossil fuels.

The protestors claim that they were threatened by the fossil fuel industry and that they had to act to stop the harm being caused to the planet.

The head of energy company Shell has argued that cutting oil and gas production would be "dangerous and irresponsible".
