Chris Philp Defends Government's NHS Record Amidst Tory MP Defection to Labour
Chris Philp, the Policing Minister, has defended the government's record on the National Health Service (NHS) following Dr Dan Poulter's defection from the Conservative Party to Labour.
Dr Poulter, a former health minister, expressed his inability to continue representing the Conservatives while looking his NHS colleagues and patients in the eye.
In response, Mr. Philp spoke with Laura Kuenssberg and highlighted the contrasting NHS situations in Wales, where Labour is in power and waiting lists are decreasing, and in England.
He acknowledged that people may be displeased with the government but expressed confidence that support for the Conservative Party would rise during an election.
