Operated by state-run China Eastern Airlines, the C919 departed from Shanghai and arrived at Beijing Capital International Airport, carrying over 130 passengers.
The C919 has 164 seats and has been developed by the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC).
It was granted a type certificate by the Civil Aviation Administration of China last September, after years of delays.
The C919 has undergone tests in various types of extreme natural environments and made its first flight in 2017.
