Cher says she didn't have son kidnapped and if she did it, she 'wouldn't say'

Cher has strongly denied allegations that she had her son, Elijah Blue Allman, kidnapped during an apparent intervention in 2022 due to his alleged struggles with substance abuse.

The singer explained that she did not take such actions and added that even if she did, she wouldn't admit to it. She emphasized her unwavering commitment to her children, stating that as a mother, she would go to great lengths to protect and help them.

Cher's response came after her son's estranged wife, Marieangela King, included the allegations in divorce papers filed last year, claiming that Cher had hired four men to kidnap Elijah from a New York City hotel room.

Cher had previously denied these rumors in an interview with People, stressing her role as a mother trying to support her children through their challenges. Elijah is Cher's youngest son, born in 1976, and she also has an older son, Chaz Bono, born in 1969.
