In a public missive on the handing over ceremony, Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator, Jerilee T. Hopkins said, “It is imperative that Miss BVI 2019 Bria Smith stay connected, in a digital age where ambassadors enjoy the benefits of technology and media.”

“We look forward to working with Miss Smith throughout her reign, assisting where we can to help her produce content for her platform of Cultural and Historical Preservation," Hopkins added.

Ms Smith was crowned Miss BVI 2019 when the pageant was held at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex in Road Town, Tortola on August 4, 2019.

Smith collected 6 of the 11 individual prizes on her way to being named Queen. She won prizes for Miss Popularity, Best Costume, Best BVI Promotion, Best Interview, Intellect and Poise in addition to several others.
