The incident occurred around 01:50 GMT on Thursday and left two women seriously injured. The accused appeared at Cardiff Magistrates' Court on Friday and has been remanded in custody.
The two injured women, aged 45 and 35, from Trowbridge and St Mellons respectively, are reported to be in stable condition. South Wales Police are investigating the incident.
