Car ploughs into Downing Street gates, one arrested for criminal damage and dangerous driving
A car crashed into the gates of Downing Street in London on Thursday, and one person was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and dangerous driving.
The incident occurred at around 16:20 (15:20 GMT), and the car collided with the gates of the UK prime minister's office and residence.
The person arrested is believed to be the driver of the car.
No injuries were reported, and the police are investigating the incident.
