'Capturing souls' using a Victorian Polaroid

Guy Bellingham uses a 170-year-old technique to produce striking photos in remarkable detail.

Guy Bellingham is a wet plate photographer, using a technique that was first developed in 1851.

His 'Victorian Polaroid' method uses various chemicals to produce pictures that have incredible clarity and detail.

Mr Bellingham has been awarded a prestigious fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society for his work.
