Teachers at Caldicot School in Monmouthshire, Wales, who have been striking over violence in the classroom, have issued a list of pupils they refuse to teach due to concerns over physical and verbal abuse from students.
The strike action began in September, and the teachers have claimed that the school has not adequately addressed their concerns, dating back to 2019. The teaching union NASUWT stated that its members had voted to take strike action, with 92% also supporting action short of striking, including refusing to teach students deemed a risk to staff. Monmouthshire council has expressed disappointment that efforts to resolve the matter have not been successful.
