The British Virgin Islands hosted its virtual gospel explosion to a well-received audience Sunday night, August 2.

During the roughly three-hour-long event, an average of 350 persons was tuned for the live performances at any given time.

Social media users were treated to perfomances from a number of gospel artistes based in the territory such as St Vincent national Shanielle March who sang, ‘He’s Always Guiding Me’ a song, she explained, was a personal testimony.

“I thank you for guiding my life, Lord. I don’t know where I would be without you … he is always guiding me,” were some of the lyrics of her song.

Local singing sensation, Jovan Cline, rocked online viewers by singing some old yet well-liked hymns such as ‘It’s So Sweet To Trust In Jesus.’

Other artistes such as Oneyke, Dwight Hutchinson and Kendra also had viewers entertained.

The final act for the evening was Gabrielle Denae who ended the virtual event on a high note. Coming with her usual energy, she sang multiple songs such as “Let God Reign,” which, based on online reactions, was a crowd favourite.

The high-frequency band provided the music and Daryl Flanders was the night’s MC.
