Nottinghamshire Police quickly identified and arrested Redfern after a bus CCTV still was shared on Facebook. At the time of the theft, he was under a suspended sentence for drug-related crimes.
Redfern admitted to several charges, including driving while disqualified and without insurance. The Nottingham crown court sentenced him to 12 months in jail, reflecting his prior drug offenses and the danger of his recent joyride.
PC Matt Fisher emphasized the risks of Redfern's actions, stating, "His reckless behavior could have harmed countless road users. It's right that he's been incarcerated."
