A dispute has arisen over the fate of "Britain's loneliest sheep," Fiona, after her rescue from a remote area in the Scottish Highlands, where she had been stranded for over two years.

Fiona became the center of attention following a successful campaign and rescue operation. However, plans to place her in a farm park near Dumfries have been met with criticism from an animal rights group, Animal Rising, which believes she should be placed in a sanctuary rather than being made a "spectacle" for profit.

The group staged a peaceful protest at Dalscone Farm, causing the farm to take Fiona to a secret location for her safety. The farm's staff reported feeling intimidated by the demonstration, which included drones and "Free Fiona" placards. "Farmer Ben" from Dalscone Farm has assured that Fiona would receive a "five star home" and time to settle in during the off-season of the farm park.

The sheep has already been shorn to remove her overgrown fleece and is reported to be in good condition, despite her prolonged isolation. The debate over her future continues, with Fiona remaining hidden until an agreement on her rehoming can be reached.
