The first semi-final was held Monday night, with eight acts performing in hopes of impressing the judges and winning the public vote.

The top three acts with the most votes were Amy Lou, Musa Motha, and Abi Carter-Simpson, but the judges had to decide on the second finalist through a public vote.

Amy Lou was ultimately selected, while Musa Motha, who had already received all four golden buzzers, was considered a strong contender for the win.
