Brazilian Prime Minister's Spouse Engages in Confrontation with Elon Musk Regarding Hacked X Account
Brazil's First Lady, Rosangela da Silva, known as Janja, has publicly called out Elon Musk following a misogynistic attack on her social media account on platform X, previously identified as Twitter.
Last Wednesday, Janja condemned Musk, the owner of the platform, for his dismissive attitude regarding the hacking incident that targeted her profile, which is followed by 1.2 million people. On December 11, a hacker posted offensive content on her account, prompting national attention in Brazil.
Earlier, Janja threatened to sue the company for its slow reaction to her requests for freezing the account and removing the offensive posts.
In response to these allegations, Musk denied that his company was at fault for the security breach, questioning the platform's responsibility in the event of password theft.
In a statement, Janja emphasized the need for the platform to act swiftly against crimes and stated her commitment to pursuing accountability.
