Boris Johnson Submits Letter to Parliamentary Privileges Committee Amid Partygate Scandal

The committee is expected to release its findings this week, but has not yet done so.

Johnson resigned as an MP last week after receiving the committee's report, which he branded a "kangaroo court" and accused of bias.

The committee has accused Johnson of impugning its integrity.

The Partygate scandal dogged Johnson's premiership and he was fined for breaking Covid rules in 2020.

The committee is considering whether Johnson misled Parliament about Covid-19 breaches in Downing Street and what he knew about them.
