Former Prime Minister Boris Johnson has denied any further rule-breaking during the COVID-19 pandemic, following a review of his official diary by police as part of an inquiry.
Johnson has called the latest development "absolute nonsense" and questioned why his diary entries were handed over to police without his consent.
He claims that the entries, from his time in Downing Street, simply record his daily activities and do not constitute a breach of rules during the pandemic.
Johnson has previously been fined by the Metropolitan Police for breaking lockdown rules and has been referred to the privileges committee over allegations of lying to parliament.
