Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson allegedly asked government scientists whether it was possible to kill Covid-19 by using a "special hair dryer" up one's nose, according to claims made by his former aide Dominic Cummings.
Cummings stated that Johnson shared a video of a man using such a device with Chief Medical Officer Sir Chris Whitty and Chief Scientific Adviser Sir Patrick Vallance, then asked for their opinions on it.
Cummings also alleged that Johnson asked him to find a "dead cat" to divert attention away from Covid-19 during a critical period in the pandemic. Johnson has not yet commented on these claims.
