Becker, 56, was declared bankrupt in 2017 with debts of around £50m.

Although he still owes approximately £42m, Becker's lawyers stated that he had reached a settlement agreement with his bankruptcy trustees.

Becker, who served jail time in 2022 for concealing £2.5m in assets, will reportedly contribute a significant sum to the bankruptcy estate.

Becker gained international fame in 1985 when he won the Wimbledon Championships at the age of 17, making him the youngest male singles champion in history.

Former tennis champion Boris Becker won a total of 16 Grand Slam titles, including six at Wimbledon, two at the Australian Open, and one at the US Open.

After retiring from tennis in 1999, he commentated at Wimbledon for the BBC and coached Novak Djokovic.

In 2012, Becker moved to London but went bankrupt in 2017 due to an unpaid £3m loan on a luxury estate in Mallorca, Spain.

Although bankruptcy orders end after a year in England and Wales, a judge suspended the automatic discharge of Becker's order due to his failure to comply with obligations.

Becker's lawyers recently asked the judge to lift the suspension, claiming he had done his best to comply.

Chief Insolvency and Companies Court Judge Nicholas Briggs decided to lift the suspension of Gerhard Becker's bankruptcy after considering his cooperative behavior during the proceedings.

Becker was found to be providing information and delivering up assets, placing him on the cooperative side of bankrupts.

However, an unresolved matter remains regarding the location of some missing trophies.
