Bonhams to Auction Princess Diana's Iconic Revenge Dress and Engagement Ring from 'The Crown

Bonhams has unveiled an auction featuring 450 items from Netflix's "The Crown," including Princess Diana's iconic revenge dress and her engagement ring replica. The exhibit kicks off in London from January 11th to February 5th, ahead of the live auction on February 7th. A separate online auction for 300 props runs from January 30th.
Highlights of the auction feature a blue ballgown worn by actress Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth II, valued between £5,000 and £7,000, and her coronation attire, estimated at £20,000 to £30,000. Costumes designed by the show's wardrobe team include Elizabeth Debicki's revenge dress (£8,000 to £12,000), and Emma Corrin's engagement suit and blouse (£1,500 to £2,000), along with the faux engagement ring priced at £2,000 to £3,000.

For royal enthusiasts or collectors, items like the replica No. 10 Downing Street door and Gold State Coach are up for grabs, estimated at up to £50,000. Charlie Thomas, Bonhams UK Director, notes the auction's uniqueness and range, from a £200 porcelain corgi to the working £30,000 carriage. Bargain hunters might consider The Queen Mother's champagne swizzle stick for £60 to £80.

The Crown Auction is viewable at Bonhams London from January 11 to February 5, followed by the live sale on February 7, 2024. The online event spans January 30 to February 8, 2024. Visit bonhams.com for details.
