The family was found "all cuddled together" in their home, depicting the last moments of a mother trying to protect her children.
Lianne, originally from Bristol and described as a "devoted mother", had moved to Israel at 19 and built her life there, eventually settling in Kibbutz Be'eri with her two daughters. The house, where they lived for three years, was one of the closest to where Hamas soldiers entered, resulting in significant casualties in the neighborhood.
The tragic event has deeply affected the victims' grandparents, Gill and Pete Brisley, who recalled their fond memories of Lianne and her daughters. They remembered Lianne as a person who loved to travel and a devoted mother, and spoke affectionately about their granddaughters: Yahel's energy and passion for nature, and Noiya's compassion and dream of pursuing a career in social work.
The Brisley family, unable to attend the funeral in Israel, mourned and bid farewell by watching the service videos, noting the massive turnout indicative of the love the community had for Lianne and her children.
