When the civil rights campaigner Alicia Garza posted the hashtag #BlackLivesMatter on Facebook in 2013 she had no idea what was to come.
In the seven years since then, the phrase has grown into a global movement.
This year it has found global prominence as protestors took to the streets in dozens of countries following the death of George Floyd at the hands of US police in May.
Faisal Islam is joined by Alicia Garza from California, who has written a book about her experiences, The Purpose of Power: How to build movements for the 21 Century.

She has admitted to being a trained socialist. So voting for the Dems will get you up close and personal with their movement, as you can see in Dem run cities across the USA. So it could be coming to a neighborhood near you
