Black Lives Matter: Co-founder Alicia Garza on the future of the movement

BlackLivesMatter co-founder Alicia Garza talks to #Newsnight about the movement’s future, social justice and her debut book, The Purpose of Power.
When the civil rights campaigner Alicia Garza posted the hashtag #BlackLivesMatter on Facebook in 2013 she had no idea what was to come.

In the seven years since then, the phrase has grown into a global movement.

Faisal Islam is joined by Alicia Garza from California, who has written a book about her experiences, The Purpose of Power: How to build movements for the 21 Century.
