Billy Joel to Perform in Cardiff: Only European Gig of 2024

US singer-songwriter Billy Joel will give his first-ever performance in Cardiff on Friday night, marking his only European gig of 2024.

The event, hosted at Principality Stadium, is anticipated to draw over 70,000 fans, necessitating a full city centre road closure.

Roads affected include Scott Road, Park Street, and several others; closures will be in effect from 07:00 and a full city centre closure will begin at 15:00, lifting at midnight.

Chris Isaak, best known for his hit single Wicked Game, will support Joel.

Gates open at 17:00 BST, with Isaak performing at 18:45 and Joel taking the stage at 20:00.

The M4 motorway is expected to be very busy, with additional rail and park-and-ride services in operation.
