Bill Gates: Pandemic conspiracies ‘crazy and evil,’ entire world can be vaccinated by 2022
Microsoft co-founder turned philanthropist Bill Gates says he has been taken aback by the volume of "crazy" and "evil" conspiracy theories about him spreading on social media during the Covid-19 pandemic.
In an interview with Reuters on Jan 26, Gates said the conspiracies about him and about top US infectious disease expert Anthony Fauci had likely taken hold in part because of the combination of a frightening viral pandemic and the rise of social media.
"The world today has 6.8 billion people. That’s headed up to about nine billion. Now, if we do a really great job on new vaccines ... we could lower that by, perhaps, 10 or 15 percent."
