Approximately 3,000 protesters gathered in Belfast for a rally in support of Palestinians amid heightened conflict between Hamas and Israel. The Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign organized the event, which was part of a series of demonstrations in the UK, including London, Manchester, and Glasgow, calling for a Gaza ceasefire.
Key speakers at the Belfast rally included political figures like Declan Kearney from Sinn Féin, who reaffirmed their solidarity with the Palestinian people and called for an immediate ceasefire and humanitarian resolution.
Protesters briefly heckled Kearney for a stronger stance on US Middle East policy, but the rally maintained a message of support for Palestine.
In Dublin, thousands protested outside the United States embassy, accusing the US of complicity in Israeli attacks on Gaza and demanding an end to the Gaza bombing and blockade.
