BBC Presenter Suspended Amid Abuse Allegations by Young Person on Dating App

A young person has come forward and claimed that they were contacted by a BBC presenter on a dating app and subsequently felt threatened by the presenter when they hinted at naming them.

The individual received abusive and expletive-filled messages when they alluded to their contact with the presenter.

The BBC presenter has been suspended, and the corporation has paused its own investigation into the matter while police examine the claims.

The young person has not made a complaint to the BBC corporate investigations unit.

The claims about the unnamed BBC presenter first surfaced in the Sun newspaper, with the family standing by the account, although the lawyer for the young person has called the accusations "rubbish."
