A celebrated Barbara Hepworth sculpture will remain in the United Kingdom after a nationwide fundraising campaign raised £3.8 million to prevent its sale abroad.

The artwork, considered a masterpiece of modern British sculpture, was at risk of leaving the country following a private sale.

The success of the campaign ensures the piece will be placed on long-term public display, preserving it as part of Britain’s cultural heritage.
