Bank of England Sets Multi-Year Plan to Wind Down Quantitative Easing Holdings
The Bank of England will retain £120 billion of long-dated gilts to support banknote issuance while selling £20 billion of bonds annually alongside maturities as it gradually unwinds assets accumulated through quantitative easing.
