Australian billionaire Tim Heath narrowly escaped a kidnapping attempt in Tallinn, Estonia, days before opening his $100 million Bombay Club casino. Assailants attacked Heath at his home, posing as decorators, intending to abduct him to a remote location. Heath successfully fought them off, and the incident surfaced following a court hearing for a suspect, Ilgar Mamedov.

The incident occurred in late July when assailants posed as painter-decorators attacked Heath in his flat.

The attackers planned to abduct him and take him to a remote location, but Heath managed to fend them off.

The thwarted attempt became public after a court hearing involving a suspect, Georgian citizen Ilgar Mamedov, who had been in custody since the attack.
