More than two hundred musicians and artists, including Thom Yorke, Brian Eno and Massive Attack, have called on Prime Minister Andy Burnham to reject the Rosebank oilfield and Jackdaw gasfield projects, arguing that further North Sea extraction would not reduce household energy bills or guarantee long-term energy independence.
