Army to remove claim Kate to appear at Trooping the Colour from website

The Army is set to correct its website by removing a statement that Princess Catherine would appear at June's Trooping the Colour, following confusion as the claim was unauthorized by Kensington Palace.

Despite promotional ticket sales featuring the Princess and mentioning her participation on June 8, engagements of senior royals like her are usually announced closer to event dates.

The error arose from the Princess's association with the Irish Guards, who are featured this year. However, only Kensington Palace can officially confirm her schedule. The Princess, having had abdominal surgery in January, isn't expected to resume public duties until after Easter.

The same website erroneously suggested King Charles III would be present on June 15, which Buckingham Palace hasn't verified. While this claim remains uncorrected, the King's public appearances are paused due to cancer treatment, although he continues some duties.

Official confirmation regarding his presence at the parade, celebrating his official birthday, will be issued later. Presently, neither palace can confirm attendance at future events because of the ongoing medical conditions of the Princess and the King.
