His friends at the angling club held a minute's applause before taking part in their first competition since his death.

The club has set up an online fund to help his family, which has so far received more than £27,000.

Members of the club expressed their sadness and how much they would miss him.

They set up a small fishing club for the kids to learn how to fish, to keep them out of trouble.
