The Tent Partnership for Refugees, a network of businesses, announced the commitment at the Tent European Business Summit on the eve of World Refugee Day.
The companies plan to directly hire more than 13,000 refugees and train around 86,000.
Amazon will hire at least 5,000 refugees, and companies including Accenture, Indeed, and Microsoft have committed to training around 40,000.
ManpowerGroup and Randstad, two of the world's largest staffing agencies, have also pledged to connect around 152,000 refugees to employment.
The commitments aim to strengthen companies' workforces, fill labor gaps, and boost European economies while generating income for refugees.
The private industry's efforts to hire refugees in Europe have been more challenging compared to the US.
However, hiring refugees can reduce the burden on public resources and government resources.
It is important to recognize that there are many skilled and qualified refugees who might be overlooked in the regular recruiting process.
The goal is not to discriminate in favor of refugees but to provide them with employment opportunities.
