They could face life imprisonment, according to Moscow's Basmanny district court. The suspects have been detained until May 22, awaiting trial, a date that could be extended.

Two of the defendants have pleaded guilty, with one from Tajikistan fully admitting his role. All suspects are foreign nationals, part of a group of 11 arrested by Russian officials after the attack at Crocus City Hall.

During their court appearance, three were handcuffed, and one was in a wheelchair. The Islamic State group claimed the attack, but Russian President Vladimir Putin hinted at Ukrainian involvement, a claim Ukraine and the US have denied. This was Russia's deadliest attack since the early 2000s.
