13 Eye-Candy Bras for an Instant Mood Lift

13 Eye-Candy Bras for an Instant Mood Lift

In the age of social distancing, indulge in one unexpected thrill: eye-candy intimates.

For many of us in the age of social distancing, our ensembles have become as monotonous as our days: There are Birkenstocks for the routine errand, loose-fitting denim for a socially distanced rendezvous, and cozy cashmere sweats for everything in between.

And while it may be too much to ask any one of us to replace our creature comforts with something, well, a little thrilling, why not instead elevate our intimates beyond the practical to be whimsical and downright fun?

“As both our lives and our wardrobes have become stagnant, a bra in a bold pattern or bright color can add some spice,” says Vogue market editor Alexandra Gurvitch, who’s recently taken to pairing Cuup’s leopard-print mesh offering with a sheer T-shirt.

Luckily, there’s no shortage of eye-candy underpinnings. Just look to Araks’s fuchsia foundation piece, which is sure to stir a certain excitement, or Yasmine Eslami’s cherry (and cheery!) soft cup: free of any underwire or padding, it’s at once comfortable and überflattering.

Across the pond, the young London-based label Fruity Booty puts its signature not-so-subtly-sexy stamp on a printed jersey intimate that’s crafted from deadstock fabric, while I.D. Sarrieri’s lacy underpinning-complete with tulle and satin trimmings-arrives in a delicious tangerine tone worth showing off. As for how to wear it? With a tank, straps exposed. As Gurvitch puts it, “Why hide it when it’s so chic?”
