Liz Truss Embraces Trump-Style Adoration at US Conservative Thinktank

Liz Truss, a former British prime minister, appeared at the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank in Washington, to promote her book "Ten Years to Save the West." The audience was receptive, offering her sycophantic praise, in contrast to the criticism she may face in London.
Truss's speech and demeanor drew comparisons to Donald Trump, with her channeling the "Maga menace" and Trump-like rhetoric.

A 48-year-old politician, Truss, has been compared to former President Trump due to her affinity for surrounding herself with flattering supporters who do not criticize her.

Politicians who often criticize "groupthink" and "safe spaces" are ironically clinging to them, as Truss has reportedly excluded certain media outlets, including the Guardian, from her events.

Last week, a Guardian reporter received an email rescinding their invitation to an in-person Truss event due to space limitations.

However, Truss later tweeted a public invitation and registration link for the event on Monday.

A book launch event for a yet-to-be-named book was held at The Heritage Foundation, but attendees were unable to receive signed copies due to "supply chain issues." Instead, they could watch a live stream on YouTube.

The event had only 700 views three hours after it ended, which is less than the views for Heritage's most popular video featuring Tucker Carlson.

The Heritage Foundation is associated with Project 2025, a plan aiming for a second Trump presidency.
